This is my method, please feel free to adapt it to suit your need.
Oh yes, please excuse the dirty hands...mud does not make for good photos, and these were not meant to be published...
Step 1 Un-pot your Clivia ![]() Step 2 Using a hose pipe, wash away the old potting medium. ![]() Step 3 Try to located the origin of the offset ![]() Step 4 Remove the offset as close to the mother plant as possible ![]() Step 5 Wash away the excess dirt, remove any soggy or dead roots, then dust the cut surfaces on the offset and mother plant with a fungicide, I personally use Lime Sulpher, and occasionally Cinnamon. I also use tree seal to seal the wound when I have some. ![]() Step 6 Leave the cut surfaces out to wind dry (callous over) for an hour or so in a shady spot Step 7 Pot your moterplant and offsets, and remember to label the immediately ![]() |
